Description
This mid 19th century US History print features a Republican Party manifesto titled ‘Equality for all men before the law’ that was released in Chicago, Illinois. On it is a portrait of Abraham Lincoln "The Great Liberator”, a bust portrait of Charles Sumner "The Great Justificator" beneath the figure of Justice, and a bust portrait of John Brown "The Great Instigator" beneath an allegorical image with two putti. Underneath the portraits are tributes to Sumner, Lincoln, and Brown, followed by a seven-verse "Tribute to the Great Heroes", and at the bottom are two bars of music titled "Windham" with "Words by W.H. Curd" and "Music by Daniel Read" with five additional verses.
