This mid 19th century US Presidential History print features Abraham Lincoln, wherein the 16th US President posed for the last formal portrait sitting about two weeks before he was assassinated on April 14, 1865, by John Wilkes Booth, a Confederate sympathizer. In addition to being a politician, Abraham Lincoln was also a noteworthy statesman and a lawyer, who guided the country through the American Civil War and represented the Union.
