This mid 20th century Military History print features the B-17 Flying Fortress ‘Ragin Red II’ starting off on snow at Bassingbourn while some ground personnel look on. The aircraft belonged to the 379th Bomb Group that was stationed at Bassingbourn during the Second World War, wherein the town served as the bomber airfield for the Eighth Air Force of the USAAF.
