Codenamed Operation Overlord, the Battle of Normandy occurred when the Allied Forces of Britain, America, Canada, and France fought against the Germans, and the 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade, and the 4th Canadian Armoured Division, training in Britain used Sherman tanks.
