This mid 20th century US Broadcasting History photo features Paul Thampson and Stuart Jenks, two engineers who were employed by Jenkins Laboratories, testing the viability of a transmitter at station W3XK, the oldest television station and the first to broadcast to the general public. Jenkins Laboratories was headed by Charles Francis Jenkins, and was the first to have been granted the commercial television license in the country.
