Description
This early 20th century US Military History print features President Franklin Roosevelt, General John Pershing and Claude Swanson, Secretary of the Navy as they arrived at the Arlington National Cemetery on November 11, 1936. The purpose was to honor the Unknown Soldier of America on Armistice Day and in observance of the same General Pershing placed a presidential wreath at the tomb.
