Description
This mid 20th century US Presidential History photo features Franklin D. Roosevelt, in a top hat, standing beside the limousine which is due to take him to his inauguration at the US Capitol, Washington DC as the 32nd US President. It was during his inaugural speech that President Roosevelt mentioned the famous lines - “So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is...fear itself — nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.” Photo taken on March 4, 1933.
