Description
This early 20th century Native American History photo features Hollow Horn Bear, a Brule Lakota leader who fought in the Sioux Wars and then was stationed at the Rosebud Indian Reservation as the police chief. As an orator and negotiator for the Lakota tribe, he often travelled to Washington DC to participate in the decision making process and also took part in the inaugural parades for US Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson.
