Description
This mid 20th century US Military History print titled ‘Loose lips might sink ships’ was coined by the War Advertising Council to be used on posters by the United States Office of War Information during the Second World War and features a ship being attacked and soldiers being killed. The implication is that simply revealing the location of a loved one on a ship could be dangerous, as the information could be passed on to the enemy or to a spy, the broader objective being to warn people against unguarded talk.
