Description
This mid 20th century US Military History print features the Mitchell B-25 bomber nicknamed the ‘Sunday Punch’ parked at the McGhee Tyson Airport. The medium bomber was christened as such to honor Major General William “Billy” Mitchell, and having been used extensively by the Allied Air Force throughout the Second World War, it continued to be used in service over the next four decades.
