This late 19th century Turkish History print features the Mosque of St Sophia in Constantinople, the capital city of Turkey throughout the Middle Ages. The monument started out as a cathedral for Greek Orthodox Christian faith, and was transformed into a mosque by Mehmed the Conqueror when Ottoman forces conquered Constantinople.
