Description
This mid 19th century US Geological History print features an overall view of the Niagara Falls, which form a natural border between the US and Canada, and in addition to being a tourist attraction it has also been a major source of hydroelectric power. The name ‘Niagara’ was coined by French explorers to indicate their neutral position between two warring tribes, namely the Huron and the Iroquois.
