This mid 19th century French Architectural History print features the panoramic view of Notre-Dame de Paris rising above Ile de la Cité. Innaugurated by King Louis VII who wanted it treated as a symbol of Paris's political, economic, intellectual and cultural power, Notre-Dame de Paris, or Notre-Dame Cathedral, is one of the most famous examples of Gothic architecture of the Middle Ages and is noteworthy owing to its size and antiquity.
