Artist's Description

President Andrew Jackson, "Old Hickory", what a hard-ass. General Jackson whooped the British at the Battle of New Orleans, and he did it almost a month after the War of 1812 was over. In 1835 a deranged house-painter tried to assassinate President Jackson, but both his pistols misfired. The President then started beating the man with his cane until his aides restrained him.
