Description
This early 20th century US Geographic History print features a steamboat on the Ocklawaha River, which has its point of origin in Central Florida, after which it flows north and eventually joins the St Johns River near another city in Florida, namely Palatka. The name Ocklawaha is derived from ‘ak-lowahe’, a word in Muscogee/Creek language, meaning muddy.
