Description
This late 19th century US Transportation History print features Pilgrim, a brand new steamboat that was launched in 1883, and served as the flagship of the Fall River line taking 8.5 hours to complete the 176-mile journey between New York and the Fall River. Being one of the largest steamboats of the world at the time, the Pilgrim measured 370 feet in length and could provide sleeping quarters to 1200 passengers.
