This late 19th century US Presidential History photo features Theodore Roosevelt, 26th US President, when he was a US Army Colonel and set up the Rough Riders, the 1st Volunteer Cavalry that fought in the Spanish-American War. He proved to be a brave and aggressive military leader who led the unit to capture Kettle Hill, and seize the San Juan Ridge and the San Juan Hill in Cuba. Photo taken on October 26, 1898.
