This 16th century French Political History artwork titled ‘The Ambassadors’ by Hans Holbein features Jean de Dinteville, the French Ambassador who attended the court of Henry VIII of England, along with Georges de Selve, the Bishop of Lavaur. The artwork is famous for depicting in the foreground and towards the bottom, a spectacular anamorphic, which, when viewed from an oblique perspective, turns out to be a human skull, while an Azerbaijanian vishapagorg rug occupies the table.
