This late 19th century Circus History print titled ‘The Great Wallace Shows: Colossal 3 Ring Circus, 2 Elevated Stages’ features Robert Stickney, Jr. performing a backflip on a galloping horse as a clown watches, along with portraits of Stickney and circus owner B.E. Wallace. A native of Peru, Indiana, Benjamin E. Wallace, a livery stable and lumberyard owner, became the sole owner of the ‘BE Wallace Circus’ in 1885 which travelled in barges and riverboats and conducted shows along the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.
