Description
This early 20th century US History photo features the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge located in Cincinnati, Ohio, an iconic waterfront connector which is named after the German-born civil engineer who was well-known for designing and building wire-rope suspension bridges. Previously known as the Cincinnati-Covington Bridge, this 154-year old structure was the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time when it was constructed.
