Description
This early 20th century Canadian Military History print titled ‘Fight for her. Come with the Irish Canadian Rangers Overseas Battalion, Montreal’ features a woman seated, in profile, taken from Whistler's "Arrangement in Grey and Black," commonly called "Whistler's Mother”. Importance of this artwork by James McNeill Whistler stems from the fact that it was the first artwork from America to have been purchased by the French state.
