This mid 20th century US History photo features buried equipment in a barn lot in Dallas, South Dakota, US, during the Dust Bowl. It was an agricultural, ecological, and economic disaster wherein high winds laden with choking dust swept the landscape from Texas to Nebraska, and people and livestock were killed while crops failed across the Great Plains. Photo taken on May 13, 1936.
