This mid 19th century US Military History print features Major General Ambrose Burnside, surrounded by various military campaigns on land and at sea, such as Roanoke, Stonebridge, Newbern, and Fredericksburg. As a US military officer, railroad executive and politician, he is best known for having served as a Union General during the American Civil War, wherein he experienced combat for the first time at the First Battle of Bull Run, which took place in July 1861.
