This mid 19th century US Military History print features General Joseph Hooker along with his staff at his headquarters at Falmouth, Virginia, a venue that was described as a bar-room and a brothel by the journalists at the time. Popularly referred to as ‘Fighting Joe’, the general had succeeded in building an influential and widespread network that comprised politicians, Chief of Staff Major General Dan Butterfield and Major General Daniel E Sickles as commander of the III Corps.
