Description
This late 19th century US History photo features a view of the Niagara River, with the presence of mills along the shoreline indicating industrial development and the Grand Trunk Bridge dominating the forefront. The upper steel-arch bridge was built towards the end of the 19th century, was located closer to the American Falls, and at the time was regarded as being the greatest steel-arch bridge in the world.
