This mid 19th century US Presidential History print titled ‘The Dark Seance Polka’ features a music sheet of the composition written by J.H. Addison after an alleged seance circle that was held at the White House on April 23, 1863. Highlights include the tall tales and magical powers of Tenskwatawa, a dark prophecy, Lincoln’s bloody presidency, tainted water in the Presidential glass, mediums and seances in the White House, a row of white headstones in the Presidential cemetery, and so on.
