Description
This mid 19th century history print features a suspension bridge built over Niagara Falls in 1856 for the purpose of connecting Ontario and New York, the two ends of the waterfalls. Spanning a distance of 825 feet, the bridge was the first working railway suspension bridge of its kind and was situated 2.5 miles downstream of Niagara Falls.
