Artist's Description

This late 19th century Architectural History photo features the Taj Mahal, a mausoleum built of white marble, which is located in Agra, India, wherein it occupies the southern bank of Yamuna River. Praised worldwide for its beauty, the Taj Mahal was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his most loved queen in the harem, Begum Mumtaz Mahal, as an everlasting symbol of love.
