Description
This late 19th century German Architectural History print features Schwerin Castle, also known as Schweriner Schloss, occupying an island in Lake Schwerin wherein it served as the main residence of the Dukes and Grand-Dukes of Mecklenburg and currently serves as the official seat of the state parliament. As an example of Gothic Revival architecture, it is resplendent in Gothic and Baroque elements and is regarded as being one of the most important civic buildings of the 19th century in Germany.
