Description
This late 19th century US History print features the bird’s eye view of the World's Columbian Exposition that was held in Chicago in 1893. The US Congress awarded Chicago the opportunity to host the fair over the other applicants like New York, Washington D.C. and St. Louis, Missouri, making it the first world's fair held in the city, spread over 600 acres of the venue, Jackson Park, which had been designed by Frederick Law Olmsted.
